I am speaking at WordCamp Asheville on June 4-5, 2016. It will be the first time I have spoken about WordPress at a major conference. My topic is going to be “Customize Your Clients’ Administrative Experience with Advanced Custom Fields”. I have given a similar talk on the topic at my local WordPress Meetup. I am so excited to explain to folks what I have learned while developing WordPress websites specifically with Advanced Custom Fields.
Below Are some of the things that will be discuses during my presentation. Here are my slides. https://ctwds.com/friendly-admin
- WP Plugin – Admin Columns
- Hiding certain parts of the default WordPress menus from clients
- Building An options page for you website.
- Talk a bit about the get_field and the_field functions of ACF.
- And many code examples.
You can find an extended blog post about what I have learned working with Advanced Custom Fields in June of 2016 on Drum Creative Blog.
